‘Let’s Grow’ at Morley Victoria

Last week I went along to Morley Victoria Primary School to help them with Morrisons ‘Let’s Grow’ programme.

The ‘Let’s Grow’ programme is a really simple but effective idea in order to get children outside and gardening. For every £10 spent in a Morrisons store, customers receive one ‘Let’s Grow’ voucher which can be handed in to local schools. These vouchers are then exchanged for gardening equipment, seeds and tools.

Morley Victoria collected a massive 13,870 ‘Let’s Grow’ vouchers, fitting out the school with a green house, potting shed, watering cans and lots more besides.

Despite the rain pupils were eager to show me what they had been growing and helped me plant a new tree.

‘Let’s Grow’ is a great way of getting school kids into the garden and learning about healthy living and where some food comes from. The children at Morley Victoria collected so many vouchers that they now have some really great gardening equipment. It was great to see so many pupils wanting to show me what they have grown.
