Seeing Spots in Stanley for Children in Need

I joined staff and pupils at St Peters school in Stanley for Children in Need. The whole school community really got into the spirit of the day. Not only did the children paint their faces and dress themselves up, they managed to dress their teachers up too.

The school raised a fantastic amount of almost £500 in one day, which proves that even though times are tough financially, the kids here and their parents are still thinking of children in need.

The theme for the day was spots. The School Council painted faces spotty, the Children’s Centre was selling Children in Need biscuits and right across school the children were allowed to bring in spotty clothes for their teachers to wear.

Children in Need is a great cause and raised over £18 million this year. It was great to see the fantastic spirit and commitment from the pupils and staff at St Peters school.
