Meeting Sixth Formers at Rodillian

This afternoon, following a meeting with Rodillian School’s Headteacher Andrew Goulty, I met with pupils studying history at the Sixth Form there.

The students came armed with some really tough questions on higher education funding, the deficit and the current economic situation as well as questions about my new role as Shadow Home Secretary.

I asked them some tough questions in return, and was delighted to hear how much the students value their fantastic new school building and what a difference it has made to their outlook on learning.

I also congratulated Mr Goulty on the brilliant results in both GCSEs and A levels this year – the outcome of some really hard work by students and teachers alike.
