New Nursery for Newlands

On Friday I joined staff, children and parents at Morley Newlands Primary School to officially open the school’s new nursery. After cutting the ribbon, we enjoyed songs from the children and a very colourful (and very large) cake inside the new building.

Children in Morley deserve the best and that is what they are getting with this beautiful new nursery. Lots of hard work has gone into making it a reality and their effort has really paid off.

Of course, the most important thing in a school is what happens in the classroom. Children here at Newlands are lucky to have great teachers and support staff, but fantastic new buildings like this do make life easier.

The £215,000 nursery includes a family room which can be used by parent and community groups and houses services provided jointly the Morley South Children’s Centre.
