Police funding for community groups

Community groups making a valuable difference in our area may now be eligible for part of a £50,000 funding boost from West Yorkshire Police. The funding is available to voluntary and community groups working on projects which support local policing priorities.

Across most of our area the main policing priority is anti-social behaviour in the early evenings and at weekends. In Outwood, the neighbourhood police team are also focussing on speeding traffic.

If you belong to a community group which is helping address these priorities, you can apply by September 10 for up to £2,500 with the support of the local neighbourhood police team. You can find information on how to apply, and how to get in touch with the local police team, on the website of West Yorkshire Police’s Community Trust.
