New information boards at Springfield Mill Park

I’ve been over at Springfield Mill Park with the Mayor of Morley and some local school children today.

I was unveiling some fantastic new information boards designed by the young people.

The boards show drawings and information about all the local wildlife that can be found in the park: birds, plants, insects and trees.

They’re a great addition to the park – and it’s a brilliant example of local schools working with the wider community to improve our surroundings.

The ‘Friends of Springfield Mill Park’ group has achieved wonders in the last few years, transforming a run down patch of greenery into the beautiful park we see today.

If the weather holds for the weekend, I’d recommend you go and take a look for yourself if you get the chance.
