Young Gildersome star, Ellie Holmes, reaches Rock the House final

Local Gildersome musician Ellie Holmes is a star in the making and has reached the finals of a prestigious music competition which could see her rocking the House of Commons! In the middle of taking her GCSEs she also seems to be finding time to practice and rehearse before the big finals next week in London.

Ellie, who is just 15, contacted me a few months back to ask me to nominate her for the Rock the House Competition. The Rock the House competition is sponsored by industry and supported by a host of celebrity Patrons and is a great opportunity for British musicians to gain priceless exposure and win fantastic prizes. By reaching the finals, Ellie will now have the opportunity to have her work judged by the leading lights of industry and is in with a real chance of winning one the prizes.

Ellie and I first met in my Morley office with her family and I heard all about her plans and had a look at her music online. Ellie has now reached the final 12 which is a fantastic achievement. She’s clearly got a really great talent and is determined to do well.

I hope the whole of Gildersome will wish her luck for the finals on 27th May. Let’s hope we can bring a Rock the House Victory to Gildersome!

You can judge her talent for yourself on Ellie’s You Tube Channel:
